Iran, Uganda to establish joint bank

Tehran, July 28, IRNA - Iran and Uganda will establish a joint bank in the near future.

Announcing this, managing director of Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) underlined that the bank will be set up in Kampala.

In a meeting with Uganda Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa, Kourosh Parvizian noted that the bank aims to facilitate trade between the twocountries.

Referring to the growing presence of the Iranian tradesmen in Uganda, Parvizian underlined that proper status of Uganda banking system isthe main reason for the establishment of the said bank.
