Iran-Uzbek trade to reach dlrs one billion in 2 years

Tehran, July 28, IRNA - Iran-Uzbekistan trade will reach over one billion dollars within the next two years.

Announcing this, director general of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran for Europe and America affairs noted that an Iranian trade delegation will be sent to Tashkent to take part in the 9thIran-Uzbekistan commission for economic and trade cooperation.

During the visit, preliminary measures will be taken to sign a mutualmemorandum of understanding in the field of economic cooperation.

Currently, some 120 Iranian companies are active in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's economy is mainly dependent on commodity production,including cotton, gold, uranium and natural gas.
