Iran Free Zone representative office to open in India

Managing director of Arvand Free Zone said here on Saturday that Iran’s Free Zones representative bureau will open in India.

Aliasghar Parhizgar said that the bureau will open following recent negotiations between secretary of Iran’s Supreme Trade Council and his Indian counterpart.
Referring to the emphasis of Iran’s Supreme Council of Free Zones on expansion of activities and cooperation with Indian subcontinent and Central Asian countries, Parhizgar said establishment of the bureau will bear several important achievements, including continuation of trade and commercial information exchange between businessmen of both countries.
He added that India, as second populated country in the world, is an appropriate market for Iranian businessmen.
The official noted that India has had an increasing trend of growth in recent years, so we hope to be able to use Indian investment capacities for projects in the Iranian free zones.
He continued that India has had a noticeable progress in the fields of agriculture, medical sciences and information technology( IT), so considering Iran’s progress in these fields, by opening such bureau in India, an appropriate ground for exchanging experiences will be provided.
Considering old cultural, political and economic ties as well as cultural commonalities between the two countries, Parhizgar expressed hope that establishment of the bureau will create a suitable ground for introducing tourist attractions in both countries.
