ANAMA DESTROYS OVER 3 THOUSAND UXOS AND MINES IN AUGUST
Baku, September 5 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,793,762 sq. meters area of land from 3,236 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) and mines in August. ANAMA found 12 tank and 2 personnel mines.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 141,256,267 sq.m. of land, destroying 625,200 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in the regions of Tartar, Agdam, Agstafa, Fizuli, Gadabay, Goygol and Garadag district of Baku.
