Yemeni-Syrian investment forum to be launched in Damascus
SANA'A, July 28 (Saba)- The Yemeni-Syrian Investment Forum will be held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, during theperiod 28-29 July 2008.
The forum is organized by the Yemen and Syrian investment authorities which aim todefine investment opportunities and advantages of investment in Yemen and Syria.
In a statement to Saba, director-general of the General Authority for Investment Marwan Bin Ghanem said that the investment authority will provide a work paper on investmentopportunities in Yemen.
He highlighted that the Yemeni-Syrian Technical Committee will held its third meeting, on the sidelines of forum, to discuss the ways of reinforcing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that businessmen of both countries will hold talks during the session on the possibilities of establishing joint projectsin various fields.
The forum comes within the framework of the Yemeni-Syrian agreement between the General Authority for Investment and Syrian Investment Authority in the second meeting ofthe Yemeni-Syrian Committee which was held in Sana'a in May 2007.
