SPEAKER ARRIVES IN DORNOD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel arrived Wednesday in Choibalsan city, Dornod aimag, in a scope of his tour to eastern aimags.
He held a meeting with officials of the aimag's administration, then the latter gave report to the Speaker on activities and works done in previous times and introduced him to urgent problems the province is facing.
The authorities said they managed to deal with foot-and-mouth disease spread of which is still staying in some aimags.
According to them, 1.8 km paved road has been run in the aimag's center with investment from the state budget, a construction has started of Theatre of Music and Drama and school for 640 pupils.
Mentioning that salaries of state servants will increase by 30 per cent from this October, the Speaker stressed that the state servants must work with more responsibilities.
“Dornod aimag is rich in uranium indeed but it is not the only source for your province in terms of development, do not forget about developing the traditional agriculture,” D.Demberel said.
After the meeting, the Speaker visited Buddha Park and a secondary school, and got acquainted with some construction works.
