THOUGHTS AND PLAN ABOUT "GASHUUN SUKHAIT" BORDER CHECKPOINT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Minister, Chief of the Government Cabinet Secretariat, Ch.Khurelbaatar gave an information about changing a regime of "Gashuun Sukhait" border checkpoint into the 24-hour open international one.
Coal export transporting through the "Gashuun Sukhait" has jumped 3 times against the same period of the previous year as for July 1 of 2010, and more than 50 tracks with import goods and equipment for the Oyu Tolgoi LLC have been driving through the checkpoint every day.
In view of this, the Oyu Tolgoi LLC has presented its plans regarding extending energy, heating, pure and waste water sewerage of this border chekpoint, increasing drinking water sources, building apartments for 180 staffers within this year. If this plan implemented, a capacity of the "Gashuun Sukhait" will increase giving an opportunity to function 24 hours as the international border checkpoint.
Ch.Khurelbaatar has been ordered to seek all possibilities of realizing this plan.
