PRELIMINARY BALANCE OF HARVEST

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foods, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai introduced Wednesday the cabinet to preliminary balance of harvest for 2010.
According to the report, grain has been sowed on 260.4 thousand hectares area, potatoes--on 13.8 thousand hectares, vegetables--6.9 thousand hectares, oil plants--24.1 thousand hectares, fodder plants--11.7 thousand hectares, and fruits--on 517.4 hectares area nationwide.
According to a preliminary balance of harvest, 338.8 thousand tons grain, of which 329.8 tons wheat, 156.1 thousand tons potatoes, 90.1 thousand tons vegetables, 20.5 thousand tons oil plants and 19.6 thousand fodder plants are expected to be harvested this year.
It is calculated that 44.9 thousand tons wheat will be allotted to the sowing for 2011, 16.0 thousand tons--to state reserve, 168.9 thousand tons--to the fund for supporting land farming, 23.1 thousand tons to--fodder plants, and 76.6 thousand tons--to flour mills.
