Many Turkish NGOs to commemorate Int’l Qods Day
Ankara, Turkey, Sept 2, IRNA – Dozens of Turkish non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on Thursday voices their willingness to commemorate the International Qods Day in four cities in Turkey.
Over 30 Turkish NGOs from Ankara, Diyarbakir, Istanbul and Igdir will commemorate the international event.
Commemorating the International Qods Day will start in Turkey on Friday (September 3) and will continue until Sunday.
Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, designated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Qods Day to denounce the continuing Israeli occupation and oppression of the innocent and defenseless Palestinian nation.
On Friday huge numbers of people from many countries will stage anti-Israel rallies to commemorate the International Qods Day in support of Palestinians and to show solidarity with them./end
