Al-Arhabi urges speeding up developing AFZ

SANA'A, July 28 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arahbi emphasized Sunday thenecessity to speed up implementing plans and studies of developing Aden Free Zone.

During his meeting with the World Bank (WB) delegation headed by Sameh Wahba, al-Arhabi urged Local Administration Ministry to accelerate the implementation of the studiesto develop the port cities in Zinjibar, Bir Ali, Shehr, Qeshen and Ghaidah.

The two sides discussed many issues concerning cooperation between Yemen and WB, particularity the Port Cities Development Program and the local urban developmentfor the secondary coastal cities.

Al-Arhabi expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation of the WB contributionsthat support the government efforts aiming at developing the Yemeni port cities.

On the other hand, al-Arhabi attended a presentation for a project of preparing astrategy to the industrial areas in Hodeidah province and Aden Free Zone.

He emphasized expediting the implementation of the project, highlighting theaffirmative economic outcomes of developing Aden Free Zone.
