20 mln Pound Sterling allocated to improve secondary education project

SANA'A, July 28 (Saba)- Director of the British Department for International Development (DFID) office in Yemen Sara White announced on Sunday DFID's assistance for improving secondary education project with ?20 million in order to improve outputs and cope with labourmarket developments.

During her meeting on Sunday with Minister of Education Abdul- Salam al-Jawfi, they discussed possibilities of educational cooperation between Yemen and DFID.

Al-Jawfi reviewed efforts being exerted by the government of Yemen to advance educational activities in order to provide qualitative education in the light of Basic andSecondary Education Strategy.

He valued efforts being exerted by DFID to support Yemen's trends to riseeducational qualification.

The British official confirmed necessity of joint cooperation between the two sidesin order to help educational program succeed.
