YOUNG SPORTSPEOPLE AWARDED STATE PRIZE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj awarded Wednesday the young sportspeople who have shown brilliant successes.
The North Star Order has gone to B.Battsetseg (free-style wrestling), to G.Erdenebold (gymnastics), the champions of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games; also to A.Enkhtuul, a champion of the World School Chess Championship, and Ts.Khongorzul, a gold medalist of the ISSF World Shooting Championships in junior category.
The Red Flag Order of Labor Merit has been bestowed upon D.Monkhbayar, B.Battsetseg's coach, and Ts.Altantogs, G.Erdenebold's coach.
Present the award ceremony were sports advisors to the State Head E.Badar-Uugan, B.Naranbaatar; S.Lambaa, the Health Minister; Ch.Naranbaatar, head of the State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports; D.Zagdsuren, president of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee (MonNOC); and S.Tomor-Ochir, a rector of Mongolia's State University (MSU).
During the ceremony, Mr. Tomor-Ochir gave A.Enkhtuul a certificate to study in MSU at four-year scholarship.
