Russia to export 12 mln tons of coal to China in 2010.

BLAGOVESHCHENSK, August 31 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia will export at least
12 million tons of coal to China in 2010, Russian Energy Minister Sergei
Shmatko told journalists on Tuesday after a meeting of the Russian-Chinese
sub-commission on cooperation in the energy sector.
According to the Russian minister, in the next five years Russian
annual coal exports to China will reach 15 million tons and will be
further increased to at least 20 million tons a year.
"The volumes are big enough to make China one of the most attractive
and strategically important markets for us," she noted.
Russia exports to China mainly coking coal, the Prime-Tass economic
news agency said. Russian coal exports to China totalled 12 million tons.
