PYONGYANG, August 31 (Itar-Tass) -- A souvenir stamp devoted to the
50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the
DPRK and Cuba has been issued in Pyongyang.
The stamp carries the portraits of first and "eternal" President of
People's Korea Kim Il Sung and Fidel Castro, as well as the two countries'
national flags. There is an inscription on the stamp: "In honour of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Cuba
(1960-2010)."
Deputy Foreign Minister of the DPRK Kim Hyong Jung, other officials,
as well as staffers of the Cuban embassy attended the stamp issuing
ceremony.
Those who spoke at the ceremony noted that "the two countries'
parties, armies and peoples are resolutely inclined to defend their
independence and socialism."
