Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Rumors on cancellation of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Pakistan was denied Tuesday by Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast.
“President Ahmadinejad’s visit to Pakistan to review the scale of the damage inflicted by recent floods in that country is still on the agenda,” said the spokesman.
“The visit will take place when necessary circumstances are prepared for it,” Mehman-Parast told reporters at his weekly press conference.
Asked when President Bashar al-Assad from Syria is to visit Iran, the spokesman said his visit would take place at its due time as part of a regular exchange of visits between senior officials of Iran and their counterparts from regional states.
