FORMER AGRICULTURE MINISTER WARDOJO PASSES AWAY
Jakarta, July 27 (ANTARA) - Former agriculture minister during the new order government, Wardojo (75), passed away at his residence in Jati Padang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, at 3.50 am on Sunday.
Wardojo was minister for food crops affairs in the Fourth Development Cabinet in 1983-1988 and for agriculture in the Fifth Development Cabinet in 1988-1993.
His son Irawan Dwi Santoso said his father had suffered two heart attacks when he was still a minister and on Saturday his father was throwing up.
Born on August 20, 1933, Wardojo is survived by five children and eight grandchildren.
Wardojo's body will be buried at the Kalibata cemetery at 2 pm on Sunday.
