Constitution's jubilee marked in Kazakhstan.

ASTANA, August 30 (Itar-Tass) -- The celebration of the 15th
anniversary of Kazakhstan's Constitution began on Monday with the military
parade on the main square of Astana.
"According to our national traditions there is no goal nobler and more
important than strengthening peace and accord in our common home. No
support for the state is more reliable than a close-knit society," said
the country's president Nazarbayev, the supreme commander of the armed
forces, reviewing the troops.
The head of state stressed that the parade "is the manifestation of
respect for the country's fundamental law." "The successes we have
achieved and the values we treasure are reliably protected by Kazakhstan's
army that inherited great military traditions of our land," the president
said.
Units of all arms of the service took part in the parade. Armaments,
military equipment and aviation were used. More than 2,200 officers,
cadets of military educational establishments, those serving in the forces
under the contract and soldiers doing their military service marched
through the main square.
The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted at the
national referendum on August 30, 1995.
On the Day of the Constitution, a holiday in Kazakhstan, there is
celebration in all the country's regions and cities. There will be a
salute in Astana and Almaty in the evening.
