WORLD YOUTH CONFERENCE HAS BEEN ENDED IN MEXICO
Baku, August 30 (AzerTAc). The World Youth Conference has been ended in Mexico.
The conference brought together 3500 representatives from 110 countries.
Azerbaijan`s delegation including Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Intigam Babayev and Secretary General of the “Irali” Public Union Rauf Mardiyev attended the event.
Discussions toke place on two fronts - the Millennium Development and 12 priority areas identified by the UN. In conclusion, the event will adopt a declaration reflecting the main aspects of youth development until 2015.
Addressing the conference, Intigam Babayev briefed the participants on the accomplishments achieved in the youth sphere in Azerbaijan.
During the visit, Babayev met with head of the Mexican Institute of Youth Priscila Vera Hernández.
They discussed signing of a letter of intention between the two countries on youth policy and prospects for relevant bilateral cooperation.
