Iran to become self-sufficient in gasoline production- deputy
Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister Ali-Reza Zeyghami said here on Monday that Iran will become self-sufficient in producing gasoline at the end of the next Iranian calendar year( starting on March 21).
Talking to IRNA, Zeyghami said the two gasoline-production projects will be inaugurated soon which will fully meet the Iranians needs to gasoline.
He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not need to import gasoline after realization of these two projects.
Zeyghami also said the Persian Gulf Setareh (Star) Refinery in southern Iran is scheduled to become operational in the next three years and that would add the country to the list of gasoline, oil and gas exporters in the world./end
