.Giant drilling rig to be delivered from Baltic to Pacific.

VYBORG, Leningrad Region, August 29 (Itar-Tass) -- A giant
construction -- the lower part of the Northern Lights drilling rig -- must
be delivered from the Baltic to the Pacific.
The steel "island" weighing about 14,000 tonnes will be loaded onto
the special vessel Talisman in the good weather on Sunday. The operation
will take place in the Gulf of Finland. The unusual cargo was delivered
there by tugboats from the Vyborg shipyard, where the foundation was made.
The rig will be delivered to South Korea's coast in the first stage of
the transport operation, shipyard director-general Valery Levchenko told
Itar-Tass. The Talisman will go across the Baltic, the North Sea, along
the European coast, through the English Channel, the Strait of Gibraltar,
the Mediterranean, the Suez Canal, the Red Sea and the Indian and Pacific
oceans. Korean shipbuilders will join the platform foundation made in
Vyborg with the upper construction made by Korean specialists. Together
with Russian colleagues, they carry out Gazflot's order for Gazprom.
The Northern Lights platform was originally planned to work as well as
the Polar Star rig on the Shtokman gas condensate field in the Barents
Sea, but the customers decided it would work in the Far East.

.AgroRus fair to be concluded with Honey Day.

St. Petersburg, August 29 (Itar-Tass) -- The international AgroRus
2010 fair will be concluded in St. Petersburg on Sunday with Day of Honey.
Honey is the most popular product at the fair during all the five days
of its work, exhibition administration sources told Itar-Tass. Each
harvest holiday is called that of honey as there is plenty of it, they
noted.
At the current AgroRus fair, Russia is represented by honey producers
from the northwest, the Volga region, Kuban (the Krasnodar Territory), the
North Caucasus and other regions of the country. On sale are a total of
more than 650 tonnes of the tasty product offered by workers of state and
private apiaries and farms. They offer various kinds of honey -- that from
May plants, buckwheat, white acacia, meadow and mountain herbs and
gathered in Bashkiria.
The main event is honey tasting that will take place at the square of
the exhibition complex. Participants themselves will determine what
product is the best, and the result will be announced by the organising
committee. Visitors may taste honey near each booth. Sellers tell visitors
about wonderful qualities of each kind of honey.
Seminars on measures to prevent infection diseases of bees and the use
of modern technologies and equipment in bee keeping are organised for
specialists at the forum.
