Children from wildfire-hit Moscow Reg arrive in Ukraine sea resort

ODESSA, August 29 (Itar-Tass) -- Fifty children from the Moscow region
recently hit by forest fires have arrived in Odessa for rehabilitation.
At the railway station the children were welcomed by Russian
Consul-General Alexander Grachev and Governor Eduard Matviichuk. The train
arrived in the city on Friday night.
"We want the young Russians after what they experienced to feel warmth
and hospitality," the governor said.
The children will stay for two weeks in the Odessa port's resort
centre named "Young Ship Repair Worker". They will stay and take medical
treatment there free of charge, port social service spokeswoman Natalia
Balabashchenko said.
One hundred and fifty children more will arrive in Odessa on Sunday.
Earlier, on August 24, 81 children from Moscow arrived in the clinic
sanatorium Chaika (Gull) in Evpatoria, Crimea. They are aged from eight to
16, and they are from ordinary Moscow families, chief sanatorium physician
Alexander Kisilenko said. Many of them complained they had insomnia,
unclear anxiety and headaches. They began to suffer the problems six
months ago, when fires broke out. Each child will undergo a course of
treatment. All of them will have 21-day rehabilitation.
