AZERI OMBUDSWOMAN ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN MANILA
Baku, August 28 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova has attended an international conference in Manila, the Philippines.
The 2-day conference organized by Asian Ombudsman Association, Asian Development Bank and Philippines` ombudsman office brought together ombudsmen and representatives of civil societies from Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Malaysia, India, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Korea and Canada.
The conference presented the highlights of 5 cross country studies and a Pakistan specific study on various aspects of ombudsmanship in Asia.
Suleymanova made a speech on Ombudsman`s independence.
