GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN IMPROVES IRRIGATION WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN AZERBAIJANI REGIONS
Baku, August 27 (AzerTAc). A project on improvement of the irrigation water supply system in eights villages of Barda and Tartar regions of Azerbaijan was completed within the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) of the government of Japan.
Mayor of Barda region Ilham Agayev thanked the government of Japan for assistance. Japan`s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Masamutsu Oka said the humanitarian activity will be continued in Azerbaijan, in future.
The grant agreement was signed by Embassy of Japan and Aran Humanitarian Organization for Regional Development. The total amount of the project is 96, 996 dollars. About 9027 residents of 8 villages have been supplied with the water.
