Yemen-Gulf states intend to succeed Yemen Friends meeting

SANA'A, Aug. 26 (Saba) -
Foreign Minister Abu Baker al-Qirbi said on Thursday Yemen and Gulf states are
coordinating
currently to succeed the ministerial meetings of Yemen Friends Group to be held in
September in New York.
According to the weekly 26 September, al-Qirbi said that he has made a phone call
with Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman al-Attiya
over
the preparations for the New York meetings to be convened in the sidelines of UN
General Assembly meeting.
Al-Attiya accentuated the role of the GCC States to succeed the international
community's efforts to support the government to tackle the development and
security challenges
and the economic and administrative reforms, al-Qirbi said.
Meanwhile, al-Attiya said that the 116th session of the GCC Foreign Ministers
Council to be held in Jeddah city, Saudi Arabia, is expected to discuss the general
secretariat
memorandum over results of the 8th meeting of the technical joint committee to
identify the developmental needs of Yemen.
