Policemen killed in terrorist ambush in Abyan

SANA'A, Aug.25 (Saba)- Three policemen
were reportedly killed and two others wounded when terrorist elements shot at them
with
a hail of bullets in Zinjobar city of Abyan province, southern Yemen, the
almotamar.net reported on Wednesday.
Local sources said to the almotamar.net that elements are believed to belong to
al-Qaeda attacked a police patrol was close to a market after evening prayers on
Wednesday.
Police patrols were seen pursuing the culprits who fled after the incident that
sparked condemnation of citizens in the region.
In the same context, the security bodies in Abyan tightened their security measures
Abyan around buildings and vital facilities in the province in case of any criminal
acts
and sabotage.
