First Yemeni flight carrying relief aid arrives in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 25
(Saba)-The first Yemeni relief flight arrived on Tuesday in the Pakistani capital
Islamabad,
carrying relief aid for people affected by floods that swept through Pakistan recently.
The charge d'affairs of Yemeni embassy to Pakistan Abdul Rab bin Jabr pointed out
that the Yemeni relief aid express the solidarity of the Yemeni people and
leadership with
their brothers in Pakistan.
He voiced Yemeni people's condolence to the Pakistani people on the victims of the
floods, calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples and international organizations to
solidarity
with Pakistani people.
Director of Sales and Branches at the Yemeni Economic Corporation (YEC), Ali
Jarallah, told Saba that the relief aid consist of 80 tons of food, medicines,
tents and blankets
according to the directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Jarallah pointed that two other Yemeni planes would head soon for Pakistan carrying
relief aid ,as a part of the humanitarian duty towards the brotherly Pakistani
people
to meet their needs and alleviate their suffering.
