Iran, main pillar of regional security: Kuwaiti official
Special envoy of Kuwaiti Emir, Sheikh Muhammad Abul-Hassan said here on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a main pillar of stability and security in the Persian Gulf and the Mideast region.
The visiting Kuwaiti diplomat made the remark in a meeting with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
Appreciating Iran’s stand regarding Kuwaiti occupation by Iraqi Saddam regime, he said Tehran’s position was significant and unique.
On Iran-Kuwait bilateral cooperation, he voiced his country’s readiness to further boost all-out ties with the Islamic Republic.
For his part, Mottaki said Iran’s principled policy is based on expansion of relations with the neighboring and friendly nation of Kuwait.
