Iran, Kuwait determined to promote relations

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran and Kuwait have cultural and historical commonalities and can promote cooperation in different fields.


According to the Presidential Office website on Tuesday, President Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Muhammad Abdullah Abolhassan, special envoy of Kuwaiti Emir, by underlining close and brotherly ties between the two countries, said there exists full confidence between Iran and Kuwait.
The envoy submitted written message of Kuwaiti emir to President Ahmadinejad and underlined necessity of strengthening bilateral ties.
He said that cooperation should increases in different fields adding that Kuwait is seeking deepening and strengthening relations with Iran.
Referring to Iran’s influence on regional issues, the envoy said that existing conditions in the region make it neccessary that the two countries promote their coordination and consultation level for improving regional situation.
