PREMIER MEETS BUNDESTAG COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Monday Dr. Karl A. Lamers, Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG).
The Premier mentioned that Mongolia adheres to the multi-lateral foreign policy, and considers that the FRG is a third neighbor of Mongolia. Mr. Batbold underlined that the bilateral cooperation have been developing successfully in the sectors of education and defense and in the peacekeeping operations in frames of the comprehensive partnership.
"Our countries face a new opportunity to develop the bilateral collaboration in economic and investment spheres," Mr. Batbold said, and added that thousands of Mongolians who speak German language can be served as a bridge for the relations between the countries.
The Premier mentioned about an importance to introduce Germany's techniques and technologies in Mongolia, and requested the German side to render support to Mongolia that intends to establish a partnership and cooperation contract with the European Union (EU).
In his turn, Mr. Karl underlined that Mongolia is significantly contributing to the international cause for peacekeeping. He expressed a willingness to pay a great attention to developing the bilateral cooperation in commerce and investment sectors.
