ITALIAN BECOMES WINNER OF MONGOLIAN BIKE CHALLENGE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Last ten days was center of attention of amateur cyclists. For the very first time here, the "Mongolia Bike Challenge" international mountain bike competitions have run. International cyclists started from Baga gazriin chuluu, Dundgovi aimag, and finished in Kharhorin, Ovorkhangai aimag. The participants were 94 sportsmen from some 10 countries such as Italy, Spain, Australia, USA, Poland, Germany, Chekh Republic, Mongolia.
A Mongolian cyclist T.Togoldor has gone to the first place at the "Sportsman" category or the age category of 18-32. Furthermore, Marzio Deho from Italy took the first place at the "Master 1" or age category of 33-42, Jan Kopka from the Czech Republic--at the "Master 2" or between 43 and 50, Stefania Valsecchi (Italy)--at the women's event.
As the final results, an Italian Marzio Deho become a winner of the competitions by his total score. He was followed by an international master of sports T.Togoldor, and K.A.Ozenbek, a Spanish cyclist.
The winner has been awarded the Golded Cup and a cash prize of EUR 15,000. The events were co-organized by Mongolian Expeditions LLC, Italy's Progetto Avventura Eventi Company, Mongolia's Federation of Adventure Sports and Cycling Tours, and Mongolia's State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports.
In accordance with a decision of the organizers, the competitions be held every year. The next year's competitions "Mongolia Bike Challenge" international mountain bike will run from July 29 to August 14, 2011.
