FLOODS INUNDATE BANGGAI, CENTRAL SULAWESI
Palu, Central Sulawesi, July 26 (ANTARA) - Floods inundated thousands of houses on Banggai Island, Central Sulawesi, on Friday, paralyzing economic, administration and education activities.
The flooding, which has been triggered by incessant heavy rains over the past three days, cut off roads as the inundation reached a height of up to one meter, Mohammad Taufik, a Banggai resident, said.
A house located in Lampa village was swept away by the flood as Bobolon River overflew.
However, there was no reports of casualties in the disaster.
