JICA BRANCH HEAD BECOMES HONORARY CITIZEN OF ULAANBAATAR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The UB city Maoyr G.Monkhbayar presented a medal of "Honorary Citizen of the city" to Ishida Yukiko, a head of JICA for his significant contribution to the development of the UB city.
Mr. Yushiko has completed his term of office here and is returning home. Under his leadership, the JICA has successfully realized in the city a project on water consumption. Twelve years ago JICA studied water consumption in apartments and revealed that in average, a member of one family would use 580 liters of water a day, recalled Munkhbayar. Water flow counters were installed in the apartments, thanks to which the usage of water decreased to 90 liters a day. "This and other researches have made JICA the closest partner of the UB city," he underlined.
Mr. Yukiko introduced the gathered to his successor Isogai Toshikori and said,"JICA will always work with Mongolia". He invited the Mayor Monkhbayar to visit Hokkaido island October this year.
