ABOUT TUITON FEES AND HDF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The people got irritated hearing thenews about rise in students' tuition fees caused by inflation. In view of this, the cabinet meeting decided to issue a resolution on some measures.
University and college students will pay themselves tuition fee for the period of September-December of 2010, the rest--from January of 2011--will be covered from the Human Development Fund.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Science Yo.Otgonbayar has been ordered to estimate the money for the period September-December of 2010 in granting educational loans for tuition and non-refundable aid from the state Fund for education, to consider giving out shares as a tuition fee from Human Development Fund from January 2011, and to amend related laws and the criteria.
In average, the tuition fee of one student has been estimated at 726 thousands togrog in 2010-2011 academic year. In 2011, everuone will receive 500 thousands togrog from the Human Development Fund, thus the students are able to pay a margin by themselves.
