IMPLEMENTATION COURSE OF PROJECTS INTRODUCED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At the Wednesday's cabinet meeting, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development Kh.Battulga and the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy D.Zorigt spoke about implementation of construction projects approved by the government.
Battulga said their Ministry is ready to start an implementation of some projects in frames of the National Developmental Strategies, the governmental activity program of 2008-2012, as well as other projects and programs approved by the State Great Khural.
For instance, the Ministry will realize the “100 thousand apartment” national program in the construction sector and a model project on constructing 96 inter-soum centers, will run a 5,572 km auto road and 990 km speedway. In Ulaanbaatar, 350 km roads will be repaired, and 212 km roads and flyovers will be constructed in seven spots.
In the railway sector, the government intends to start the first stage of building foundations of new railways in a scope of the state policy on railway transportation, an industrial complex will be erected in Sainshand, Dornogobi in frames of the program of development of industrial sector. According to related Ministers, technical-economic justifications including calculations have been completed.
After these reports the cabinet considered as necessary to discuss a decision on creating a financial resource for the projects in the way of issuing a guarantee in production of mining products.
The Minister D.Zorigt spoke about a realization of a parliamentary resolution on exploiting the Tavan tolgoi deposit. According to him, the “Erdenes MGL” company, an owner of the license for exploitation of the mineral deposit, has started the extraction and an improvement of a capasities of border checkpoints.
S.Batbold underlined that these works must be open and that highly skilled workers must be employed. He added that a priority must be given to Mongolia's interests.
