UNSRI TO ESTABLISH MATH CENTER
Palembang, Indonesia, July 25 (ANTARA) - Sriwijaya University (Unsri) in Palembang, South Sumatra, will soon establish a mathematics center, chairman of the university's post-graduate program, Prof Zulkardi, said here on Friday.
"The mathematics center is expected to motivate math-loving students to exchange ideas and study together in their effort to make outstanding achievements at national and international level," Zulkardi said.
At the initial stage, he said, he would gather the winners of the Mathematics Olympiad at the math center to attract other math-loving students to join it.
Zulkardi said a number of students from a number of outstanding schools in South Sumatra had several times won mathematics competitions at national and international level.
