Medvedev mourns with Pakistan president over major flood.

SOCHI, August 18 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
expressed condolences once again to his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali
Zardari over a major flood in this country.
"Before the negotiations begin, I would like to offer deep condolences
over a major flood in Pakistan. This is a very serious natural disaster
that claimed many people and entailed enormous damages," Medvedev said.
"We are mourning with you and are ready to give necessary assistance,"
the Russian leader pointed out.
He noted that specific services of the countries were in constant
contact and several humanitarian flights have already been made from
Russia to Pakistan. "We offer our condolences, we are well aware, what a
natural disaster is like, and August turned out to be difficult in our
country," Medvedev said, noting that Russia is ready to give to Pakistan
all the necessary assistance to liquidate the flood aftermaths.
