SOCHI, August 18 (Itar-Tass) -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai invited
his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev to visit Kabul.
"We hope, Dear Sir President, that your visit in Afghanistan that I
hope will take place as soon as your tight schedule allows you to do it
will be a major privilege for Afghanistan," Karzai said.
He expressed confidence this visit would promote stronger economic and
cultural ties between the countries.
