President: Iran, Ireland can help set up new world order
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the world is in dire need of new order based on justice, friendship and mutual respect.
President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with the new Ireland’s Ambassador to Tehran Oliver Grogen.
Unilateralism, racial and social discriminations and injustice have expedited the process of global annihilation, he said.
Selective and biased approach are the major impediments to justice and security of the international community, the Iranian president said adding that the role of independent and freedom-loving countries such as Iran and Ireland are vital to establish the new world order.
Expansion of relations between Iran and Ireland would be in the interest of both nations, said President Ahmadinejad.
The new Irish ambassador submitted his credentials to President Ahmadinejad and expressed his country’s willingness to expand all-out relations with Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran plays prominent role in the region and within the group of the Islamic states, Grogen said.
