Medvedev mourns with Jintao over tragic natural disasters in China.

MOSCOW, August 17 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
expressed condolences to his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao over the tragic
aftermaths of natural disasters in China, the solidarity with the Chinese
people and readiness to give assistance if necessary, the Kremlin press
service reported on Tuesday.
During a telephone conversation between the presidents Hu Jintao noted
that he was moved and sincerely grateful for a cordial support.
For his part, he noted that China was following closely and was
concerned over a sharp fire situation in Russia and stated with
satisfaction that the Russian leadership was coping successfully with
these natural calamities.
During the telephone conversation the presidents estimated positively
close cooperation between the agencies of the countries in charge of the
struggle with emergency situations and called for a broader cooperation in
this sphere.
Medvedev and Hu Jintao also discussed preparations to Russian
president's visit to China due in late September.
