Iran to launch first high flying jet drone
Tehran, Aug 17, IRNA – Iran is to soon launch its first high flying jet drone, said Defense Minister, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi.
Vahidi said that the aircraft which is called “Karrar” will be launched during the “Government Week”, 24-30 August.
The period is designated to the memory of former Iranian President Mohammad Ali Rajaie and his Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar who were martyred in a bomb blast in the presidential office on Aug 30, 1981.
The minister said the production line of a speed vessel and the new generation of missile-carrying vessel called Zolfaqar will also be inaugurated during the period.
According to him, a special library for space tests, third generation of the missile “Fateh 110” and 28 other electronic and telecommunication projects will also be inaugurated in the Government Week./end
