Brig Gen Jazayeri: Nationalizing oil industry, good lesson for war against US

Tehran, August 17, IRNA – The Deputy Joint Chief of Staff said here Monday that the final fate of nationalizing oil industry movement contains good lessons for Iran current war against US and global arrogance.

The Joint Chief of Staff Headquarters’ Cultural and Propagation Deputy, Brigadier General Seyyed Mas’oud Jazayeri made the above statement on the anniversary of the US-British coup of August 19th, 1953 against former Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq.

Jazayeri reiterated: “Contrasting interests of regimes comprising the global oppression form the continual historic clashes and the anti-hegemony movement that has always been one of the great ideals of the grand Islamic Revolution ever since the beginning of the Islamic movement on June 5th 1963 in the thoughts of the late Imam Khomeini (P); and after the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, too, it was emphasized both in the approaches of the late Imam and in those of the Supreme Leader.”

The Cultural and Propagation Affairs Deputy Joint Chief of Staff added, “In the process of the Islamic Revolution and the collapse of the oppressor regime of the ousted Shah, the late Imam (P) had aimed at the global oppression system, beyond the internal despotic system in Iran, which was why he did not hesitate even a singe moment to contemplate on receiving foreign aid, and that was why the eastern and western powers have converged against the Islamic system and nation in post-revolution years, whose reason should be sought in late Imam’s thoughts.”

He referred to the jubilance and dynamism of Iran in the scene of the continual campaign against the oppressors, focusing on the liberation and independent seeking movements during the past century, adding that “the emergence of four great liberation and independent seeking movements in the course of the contemporary Iranian history, namely the Constitution Movement, the Oil Industry Nationalizing Movement, the June 5th, 1963 Islamic Movement and the glorious Islamic Revolution bear proof for the dynamism, ambitiousness, and thoughtfulness of the Iranian nation at the scene of ridding itself of the coil of despotism and colonialism.”

He added, “In that process whenever a consensus between the elites and the leaders around the axis of Islam and relying on the support of the nation has been achieved deadly blows have been dealt against the body of the looters of the people’s assets.”

Jazayeri at the end emphasized that the nations need to take lessons of their past in order to avoid suffering similar losses in the future and defeat the enemies in the present time.

After his address in response to a question on the authenticity of the US officials’ claims on Iran’s interference in internal affairs of Iraq and Afghanistan, Brigadier General Jazayeri reiterated, “Basically the Americans are not in a position to accuse the others of such matters; but such accusations and political maneuvers are essentially aimed at deleting the possibility of raising major questions in the minds of the American people.”

He added, “The main questions today are: what objective is the United States pursuing in Iraq and in Afghanistan today? Why has it occupied those countries using its military force? Why does it commit dozens of crimes every day such as bombardments, terrorist acts, kidnapping, looting those nations’ public assets, and smuggling narcotic drugs to and from those countries? In other words, the pace of the accused and the accuser has been switched, since the Americans and the occupiers should not be permitted to keep on pursuing what they have been up to in those countries thus far.”

In response to another question, Jazayeri referred to the Zionist regime as a “usurper entity” and a “fake political system that is both forges and sick.”

He added, “The Americans’ investments over that cancerous gland resemble spreading good seeds on a barren Sahara and the world nations would beyond doubt be witnesses to the event that the real owners of the occupied Palestinian lands would kick out the occupiers form their motherland.”

Jazayeri added, “Under the current conditions, the struggle of the Zionists for survival and their threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran through the media that are affiliated to the international Zionist lobby is partly a psychological war and partly aimed at ridding them of that illegitimate entity’s acute internal problems that have truly engulfed them.”

He added, “With the flickering of the first spark the entire region would be engulfed in a devastating fire.”

The high brass military official was asked about the reason why the Americans have launched their Iran-phobia project. He said, “The emergence of the thoughts and general mentality of the Islamic Revolution in the framework of the pure Mohamedan (P) Islam created a challenge for the reigning capitalist system that is based on liberal democracy, particularly of the American type.”

Jazayeri added, “That is the major cause of the west’s antagonist approach towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Americans’ entire efforts, as well as those of their entire oppressor apparatus are aimed at effectively preventing the possibility of dynamic survival of this new born system.”/end
