President tells Iran’s envoys to pursue fundamental stands, revolutionary logic

Tehran, August 17, IRNA – President Ahmadinejad urged the new envoys posted abroad to pursue the fundamental stands and revolutionary logic of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The president made the statement in a meeting, on Monday, with the new ambassadors who have been posted to Slovenia, Bahrain, Chili, and Poland.

According to the information website of the President’s Office Ahmadinejad added that “the officials in the country’s foreign offices shoulder heavy and important responsibilities commissioned to them by the Islamic Republic.”

He added: “If the people of a country demand such values as pureness, justice, and campaign against oppression, in fact the exalted culture and values of the revolution exist there, too.”

Our country’s envoys must establish broad ties with the peoples of the entire countries of their missions, Ahmadinejad said, adding that, today, “every nation in the world loves Iran deeply and this potential can be taken advantage of at the service of boosting bilateral relations.”

Ahmadinejad reiterated that the envoys must preserve and maintain Iran’s grandeur, prestige, and independence, while trying to improve comprehensive ties with the world in every field.

The prerequisite for success of the representative offices of Iran in other countries is introducing the natural, geographical, and material potentials of Iran as well as the grandeur of the culture (to the world nations), followed by the envoys’ capability for elaborating on those aspects delicately and in full detail, he suggested.

Ahmadinejad also emphasized the need for paying close attention to the expansion of cooperation in cultural, economic and tourism fields.

Addressing the new envoy to Poland, the president said that Warsaw plays a crucial role in Europe and the Polish people are very fond of Iran, and this potential can be taken advantage of for improving bilateral ties.

In his address to the new ambassador to Chile, Ahmadinejad said that "the people of that country are potentially opposed to the expansionist policies of the US, which is why that country’s relations with other Latin American nations is to the benefit of the freedom and justice seeking peoples (throughout Latin America).”

Likewise, Ahmadinejad told the new ambassador to Manama that Iran strongly supports Bahrain and its people. Also, Manama is Tehran's safest and most reliable neighbor, therefore we should be aware of the aliens' mischievous plots (there).

Last but not the least, Ahmadinejad told the country's new ambassador to Slovenia that “Iran’s rich culture and Slovenia’s need to energy can be appropriate cradles for the expansion of bilateral ties.”/end
