Iran, winner of nuclear dispute with West : Former Indonesian envoy

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Aug 16, IRNA – Former ambassador of Indonesia to Iran Basri Hasanuddin said Monday that Iran would be the winner of the ongoing nuclear dispute with the West.

“As Tehran’s peaceful nuclear activities are in compliance with the regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency, this is the eligible right of Iran to continue its activities,” Hasanuddin told IRNA.

He noted that the West was putting further pressure on Iran for its peaceful nuclear programs as big powers were to tackle Iran’s way to progress.

“Relying on its domestic technologies and not depending on the West, Iran can become an example for other states to find their ways towards being a nuclear state,” said the former diplomat.

He stressed that the real threats against the global peace are states with nuclear weapons, the Zionist regime in particular./end
