Iran champion of CISM World Military contests
Tehran, Aug 14, IRNA – The free-style wrestling military team of Iran clinched the championship title of the CISM World Military Championships in Lahti, Finland, that started on August 12.
Winning five gold medals and two bronze ones, the Iranian team was the superior to other 90 free-style wrestlers from 18 world countries.
The gold medals were awarded to the Iranian athletes named Hassan Rahimi, Mohammad Naderi, Esmaeil Nejatian, Abazar Eslami and Ja’far Daliri.
Further, Iran’s Ahmad Amirian and Morteza Rahmatzadeh received the bronze medals during the International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Military Championships.
Iran’s Free-style Military Wrestlers gained 66 points and ranked first, and Belarus and Poland scoring 48 and 47 points stood at second and third places respectively./end
