Medvedev to visit Vietnam in October.

MOSCOW, August 13 (Itar-Tass) -- First Deputy Foreign Ministers of
Russia and Vietnam Andrei Denisov and Pham Binh Minh discussed
preparations for Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's official visit in
Hanoi in October 2010.

The consultations were held in Hanoi in the
framework of the third round of Russian-Vietnamese strategic negotiations.

"The sides discussed key issues on the agenda of bilateral relations
as part of preparations of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's official
visit in Hanoi in autumn this year, primarily in order to speed up the
negotiations to finalize the documents on cooperation to be signed during
his visit in Vietnam," a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry said after
the meeting on Friday.
The high-ranking diplomats also considered "the implementation of
bilateral agreements on comprehensive promotion of partnership ties
established at the Moscow summit on July 9, 2010, as well as the measures
to make the coordination of actions between Russia and Vietnam on the
international scene more efficient," the source added. "The coordination
of measures to ensure security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region
and to shape a new non-bloc cooperation architecture on a multilateral
basis was given close attention," the Russian diplomatic source said.
Denisov and Pham Binh Minh agreed that a fourth round of
Russian-Vietnamese strategic negotiations would be held in Moscow in 2011.
The Russian first deputy foreign minister also had negotiations with
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.
