Hunt on for beanie-wearing bank robber

A manhunt is under way for an armed bandit who robbed a bank in Brisbane's CBD on
Friday.
The man held up the BankWest branch in Creek Street just before 11.30am (AEST),
escaping on foot with money in a supermarket green bag.
Police said the man is about 180cm tall, had a medium build and was wearing a
dark-coloured jumper, blue denim jeans, white runners and a blue beanie.
He was last seen heading along Elizabeth Street heading towards Edward Street,
police said.
No customers were inside the bank during the robbery.
A BankWest spokeswoman said staff were being counselled.
