China allocates $3,9 mln to Russia to fight forest fires

BEIJING, August 11 (Itar-Tass) -- China allocates 3.9 million U.S.
dollars to assist Russia to fight forest fires, spokesman for the Chinese
Ministry of Commerce Yao Jian said in a statement posted on the website of
the ministry on Wednesday.
China will allocate one million U.S. dollars and will send relief
supplies worth 20 million yuans (2.93 million U.S. dollars) to Russia
shortly.
The forest fires that had spread on 17 Russian regions killed more
than 50 people and left homeless about 3,500 people.
