Corletto to undergo knee surgery

Australian netballer Julie Corletto will undergo knee surgery on Thursday, meaning
she'll definitely miss the Commonwealth Games.
Corletto was omitted from the Diamonds squad in July due to her troublesome knee. It
was deemed then that spending the rest of 2010 on the sidelines was the best long
term decision for the talented defender, and booking in for surgery only confirms
that opinion.
Both the surgery on Tuesday and the enforced rest period are intended to prolong the
23-year-old's career at the highest level.
Corletto's team-mates take on Jamaica's Sunshine Girls on Wednesday night in the
second of a three-match Test series.
