Iran's FM meets Syrian president
Damascus, Aug 11, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki Wednesday in the Syrian port city of Latakia, reviewed issues of mutual interest with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The latest regional and international developments as well as Tehran-Damascus ties, support for the Lebanese resistance movement and the process of investigation over the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri were among topics discussed by the two officials.
Mottaki, heading a delegation, arrived in Damascus Tuesday evening.
During his two-day stay, Mottaki is to meet his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Muallem, Vice-President Farouq al-Shara and several other officials of that country./end
