Tehran ready to talk to Vienna Group on fuel swap: spokesman

Tehran, Aug 10, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said here Tuesday that Tehran is ready to talk with the Vienna Group on fuel exchange.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he added that the talks should be based on the Tehran Declaration.

“We are waiting for the response of the Vienna Group and fixing the date and the venue for the talks,” the spokesman said.

On possible advent of a war in the Mideast region, he said the Zionist regime is trying to create tension in the region. The regime is attempting to make up for its failures in the region, he added.

The possibility of waging a war in the region is very weak, he reiterated, adding that although certain US currents are interested in destabilizing the region since waging a war would cost much, it is unlikely to happen.

On the new sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic, he reiterated that those countries backing the anti-Iran sanctions would deprive themselves from Iran’s desirable market.

He added that any country entering such a political issue would suffer huge losses./end
